EDITING AND NAVIGATION FOR MAC

Fewer keystrokes. Less hunting.

Change many lines at once, jump straight to the file, symbol or line you have in mind, and keep your eyes on the text. The menu bar is organised the way Mac editors are, with Text, Find and Go menus, so every command is easy to reach.

Does TextEditor++ have multiple cursors?

Yes. Add carets above or below, select the next or every occurrence of a word, split a selection into lines, or select a column with Option-drag, then type once to change them all.

Is there a quick way to open files and run commands?

Yes. Goto Anything (⌘P) opens any file, symbol or line, and the Command Palette (⇧⌘P) finds any command by name.

Which text encodings are supported?

UTF-8, UTF-16 and Windows-1252, plus 33 more, including Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Cyrillic encodings. If a character can’t be saved in the encoding you choose, TextEditor++ shows you before writing anything.
