Do I need to install anything on my servers?
No. TextEditor++ connects with standard SSH and runs the usual tools there, such as tail and journalctl. Docker, kubectl, aws and gcloud are used from wherever you already run them.

Safe editing on servers
Remote files open read-only. Unlock a file to edit it, and when you save, TextEditor++ checks that nobody else changed it first, so no one’s work is overwritten.
Your credentials stay yours
TextEditor++ uses SSH and your cloud providers’ own tools. Passwords are asked for by SSH itself and are never stored, and TextEditor++ never sees your cloud credentials.
Is this like tail -f in Terminal?
It follows the same way, but the output lands in an editor: you can search it, filter it by pattern with context lines, capture a section and keep it, instead of watching it scroll past.
